RAFFWU is seeking to employ into two roles – NSW Organising and Campaigns Officer, and an Administration & Finance Officer.

NSW Organising and Campaigns Officer

  • Based in Sydney.
  • The role is full-time ongoing.
  • Regular Travel is Expected including across the Greater Sydney area, Newcastle, Wollongong and elsewhere in NSW

The Retail and Fast Food Workers Union represents members across Australia in the retail and fast food sectors.

The primary focus of the role is to:

  • Recruiting new members to the Union;
  • Identifying, fostering and support Union delegates and activists;
  • Increasing the level of activism of Union delegates and activists;
  • Providing basic industrial advice;
  • Representing workers in meetings and other forums; and
  • Implementing the campaigns of the Union.

The Union is engaged in numerous campaigns and actions involving members at some of Australia’s largest retailers and fast food companies. This position will involve working closely with Union officials, delegates and members on campaigns to fight for the rights of Australia’s lowest paid workers.

Salary: $67,263 plus superannuation and the use of a vehicle.

Administration and Finance Officer – Level 3

  • The role can be based in an office in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane but we are prepared to consider applications from any member prepared to work from home.
  • The role is fixed term for 12 months.
  • The role is 0.6FTE – 3 days per week.

The Retail and Fast Food Workers Union represents members across Australia in the retail and fast food sectors.

The primary focus of the role is in:

  • Supporting the day to day operations and administration of the Union;
  • Assisting in recruiting new members to the Union; and
  • Assisting in implementing the campaigns of the Union.

Salary: $54,400 pro rata plus superannuation. The current part-time wage is $27.50 per hour.
