Officeworks workers were without a new agreement for years. The old agreement was kept in place because Officeworks saved tens of millions of dollars every year by not paying minimum Award penalty rates. RAFFWU members exposed this dodgy behaviour in 2015 & 2016 at Coles and we know Officeworks was benefiting from the same tricks.
We represented members in bargaining and made sure the much better minimum Award rights were returned.
The new agreement should have been so much better but our campaigns mean rights like 25% penalty rates on weeknight and Saturdays, and rosters which don’t fluctuate without consultation, are now in place. We also help members enforce their rights – including set rosters, overtime rates and more.
