South Australia Organising & Campaigns Officer

The Retail and Fast Food Workers Union represents members across Australia in the retail and fast food sectors.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Organiser in South Australia to join our team. The primary focus of the role is:
- Recruiting new members to the Union;
- Identifying, fostering and support Union delegates and activists;
- Increasing the level of activism of Union delegates and activists;
- Providing basic industrial advice;
- Representing workers in meetings and other forums; and
- Implementing the campaigns of the Union.
The Union is engaged in numerous campaigns and actions involving members at some of Australia’s largest retailers and fast food companies. This position will involve working closely with Union officials, delegates and members on campaigns to fight for the rights of Australia’s lowest paid workers.
Salary: $83,171 (pro rata to $49,902 for 0.6 FTE) plus superannuation (Award based vehicle kms allowance paid for union travel.)
