RAFFWU sets a clear expectation of member and supporter participation in our events. Successful events encourage participation from across the RAFFWU membership, including young workers, people of colour, LGBTIQA+ workers, First Nations People, migrant workers and workers with disabilities.
It is incumbent on participants in RAFFWU events to build a safe and inclusive space for our most marginalised members. To be clear, the following (non-exhaustive) list of behaviours will not be tolerated: racism, anti-semitism, islamophobia, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, (cis)sexism, (trans)misogyny, ableism, ageism, slut-shaming, sex-worker exclusion, sexual harassment, unwanted advances, stalking, leering, suggestive comments, violent threats and physical intimidation.
This includes actions taken online and in private in relation to other RAFFWU members. Any person behaving in a manner which does not meet our expectation will be asked to leave the event and may be refused access to future RAFFWU events. RAFFWU proudly has a diverse membership and encourages the full participation of members.
